Macroeconomics
When Poverty's Demise .Org's userbase reaches the "millions of users" level of development many significant macroeconomic dynamics will be in motion.
Ultimate Redistribution of Wealth (Show || Hide)
The greatest economic minds in history ranging from Malthus to Adams to Marx to Keynes all share a common weakness in their theoretical economic outlooks on the future development of man, in that they typically conceptualized 'technology' as only impacting factors of production within an economic system and relying solely on government intervention, regulation, and administration of wealth collected by taxes to protect & provide for public social welfare.
Their default relationship of technology & production was/is 'real', but still a weakness per se, because they are unable to adequately asses the effect of technology on information that guides business decisions. For them the rise of modern day information technology was not remotely a foreseeable possibility.
The ability to deliver large or small amounts of money around the world within seconds, between individuals, as illustrated by PDO and Kiva.org' s use of online social networking simply was not a plausible economic dynamic to consider.
PDO leverages the one-to-one networking power of the Internet to create a vertical redistribution of wealth that none of them could have imagined during their lifetime with the exception of John Maynard Keynes that once jokingly described to the 'Ultimate Redistribution of wealth in the following manner:
"If the Treasury were to fill old bottles with bank notes, bury them at suitable depths in disused coal mines which are then filled to the surface with town rubbish, and leave it to private enterprise on well tried principles of laissez-faire to dig the notes up again...there need be no more unemployment and with the help of the repercussions, the real income of the community would probably become a good deal larger than it is."
-John Maynard Keynes
Staying within the colorful context of Keynes' description of the 'ultimate redistribution of wealth', PDO would assume the role of the "Treasury", the "old bottles" would represent PDO Recipient Accounts (accounts hold donations), and the "bank notes" would be the donations from PDO Donors. Continuing on, "suitable depths in disused coal mines" would represent impoverished areas.
The one-to-one networking-powered vertical movement of wealth of PDO (Treasury) enables the global community to fill PDO Recipient Accounts (old bottles) with donations (bank notes) that even the most impoverished depths of our society (disused coal mines) can reach; provided Internet access for PDO recipients can be established.
Poverty’s Demise .Org & Net Neutrality are the means by which the Global Community can all help to bury the “old bottles” that Mr. Keynes speaks of… ;-)
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. cured many racial inequalities in the body of law that compromises the US Judicial System by effecting change with a nonviolent political movement.
The level of change that Dr. King was unable to effect prior to his death is that of changing the fundamental economic structure of a capitalist system that actually fuels racial and class tensions, both domestically and internationally: Poverty.
Via my charity transaction platform I enable the 85% of the American public that live above the poverty line a DIRECT opportunity to apply their disposable income to the basic social welfare needs of the 15% of Americans that lives below the poverty line... starting with children in need first.
This means that roughly 255 million American 'Haves' will now be able to provide social welfare support for 45 million Americans 'Have-Nots' that live at or below the poverty line because of the core cause of poverty: Structural Unemployment.
In 2006 exactly 44 million Americans applied for some form of social welfare benefit from the government. (MSNBC.com) 44 million just happens to be the high-end estimated percentage for structurally unemployed persons within a capitalist system with a population of 300 million people. Coincidence or Economic Law?
In opposition to Keynesian economic doctrine that would have recommended the government budget enough or our tax dollars to maintain proper social welfare standards and services for the 15% of the American population that are perpetually structurally unemployed during periods of economic expansion to assist them in avoiding the perils of poverty such as violent crime, child mortality, and the spread of infectious disease, our elected officials chose to slash public access to social welfare programs.
The decision to remove access to social welfare programs that served millions of Americans has resulted in explosive growth in prison populations across the nation, violent crime being at a 5-year high, increasing HIV rates in poor areas of the country, and increased sexual exploitation of women.
I pose a simple question for the American and international public:
If given the choice would you personally direct your tax dollars towards:
a.) providing healthcare, hot meals, and warm housing for children,
or
b.) war
Its a simple questions that our elected officials do not seem to understand.
Via the Poverty's Demise .Org charity transaction platform the individuals of this nation and many others will gain the power to develop and administer their own social welfare programs via the Internet.
Social Revolution (Show || Hide)
Years ago, I caught on to the fact that the reason every nation in the history of man has had social revolution is because as citizens pay their tax dollars upward we do it with the faith that those atop of the given society will invest that money into maintaining the social welfare of ALL citizens of that nation.
However this logic is flawed as evident by the consistent appearance of social revolution in different types of socioeconomic systems (capitalist, communist, socialist, etc).
The flaw lay in two facts:
a.) governments and those in power are human, human competitive nature is as fundamental as our drive to reproduce. Those who work more want more, and
b.) governments that exists for more than one generation eventually become populated with the wealthier citizens of that nation (aristocrats) that by birth and upbringing, over time, loose a close enough connection to the lower classes and correspondingly loose the social comprehension of how lower class social problems are caused and can be solved
Eventually those in power loose any relevance to the lower and then middle classes and in the shifting tide of sentiment, even members of the upper class begin to turn against current governments and assist in revolution. (Marx.)
From the point of view of John Maynard Keynes, typically, hailed as the father of modern economics, he believed that government would actually do its job as "social welfare protector" and institute laws, welfare programs, and deficit spending to push money into the hands of the lower classes and in turn spur the economy out of recessions.
Keynes was an idealist that believed that a separation between government interest and business interest would be maintained.
Poverty's Demise.org was designed to safeguard and promote the interest of the world's most impoverished populations. It is my belief that the establishment universal subsistence standards will bring about collaborative peace amongst all nations.
The trend towards the globalization of production factors of economic development is evident in business outsourcing decisions, international joint venture increases, and international standardization.
On one hand, this trend, translates into good news for the general public as evident in the stellar rise of Wal-Mart in the United States. An efficient international supply-chain and economies of scale has actually translated into cheaper prices for quality products for the general American public.
On the other hand, this trend translates into bad news for the general public as evident in the of loss employment opportunities and overall buying power to attain actual and relative subsistence level products and services (food, shelter, and healthcare, respectively).
The citizens of each nation that become structurally unemployed essentially loose their relative right to the pursuit of happiness relative to the standards of living as set by that citizen's country prior to globalizing.
The human impact of unemployment is more than a number, it's a child. Parents all over the world are loosing their ability or are never given the opportunity to provide subsistence level products and services to their children.
"What would you do if your child was hungry and you had no money?"
Poverty's Demise.org is the answer.
It is my goal to enable donors to be able to quickly and easily provide subsistence level products, services, and "cool goodies" to children below the poverty line via the internet using the Poverty's Demise.org charity platform.

The Master Plan (Show || Hide)
Poverty's Demise .Org is more than just a charity platform. Poverty's demise .org is actually a development tool that can be utilized to spur economic development in the poorest areas of the world.
Essentially the donors on this platform are sharing their economic buying power with the poorest citizens of our world via PDO's "Universally Redeemable Electronic Gift Certificates."
Corporations that market eco-friendly & health conscious products and/or services will want to earn additional sales revenues being transferred from generous donors to impoverished citizens via the Poverty's Demise .org charity platform.
The catch is that the additional sales revenues will be in the hands of the world's poorest citizens....
This means that corporations will have to invest into infrastructure development in extremely poor countries in order to collect on the additional sales revenue opportunity created by Poverty's Demsie .org (i.e. recipients need stores at which to redeem their donated "Universally Redeemable Electronic Gift Certificates).
Corporations need supply roads, clean water supplies, and electricity in order to sell their products & services in any country.
The Poverty's Demise .org charity platform provides a major financial incentive to corporations to invest in the development of extremely poor countries, in that, once enough infrastructure has been put in place to support commerce, corporations then stand a high chance of recouping their investments and expanding their annual sales by way of a newly developed market filled with poor citizens spending their "Universally Redeemable Electronic Gift Certificates" to attain subsistence level products and services.
How does Poverty's Demise.org create the market dynamic that I have just described a reality?
* Step One:
PDO chooses several critically poor areas of the world from a "Development Lottery."
* Step Two:
After the winning and qualified countries have been revealed to the general public, PDO begins a "Minimum Standards Technology Infrastructure Development Plan."
Basically PDO institutes a development investing plan centered on creating sustainable sources of clean energy to establish basic Internet access for targeted poor citizens. Once poor citizens have desired minimum levels of access to the internet, Poverty's Demise.org then gives each impoverished person a "Recipient Profile" that our donors can search and direct cash donations to.
Implementing this plan means PDO investment into clean power technologies, Nicholas Negroponte $100 laptops, wi-fi towers, and basic computing skill training for poor citizens.
* Step Three:
Eco conscious urban developers help plan the future urban infrastructure of the targeted country with special attention paid to geographical, environmental, population, and cultural variations.
The practical knowledge base created by the development of the world's first 100% eco-friendly city, Dong Tan, located off the coast of Shanghai will be a guiding precedent for similar cities all over the world that Poverty's Demise .Org will assist in creating by accelerating their relative economies.
More about Dongtan, China: http://www.guardian.co.uk/china/story/0,,1681385,00.html
* Step Four:
For-profit corporate partners of Poverty's Demise .Org that sell eco-friendly & health conscious products review urban development planning performed in Step Three, then place "development bids" to position their relative organizations for "First Access" to new markets.
Note: Participating corporations and governments would be required to establish joint-ventures with indigenous local entrepreneurs & companies in order to safeguard the local interest of targeted markets and meet other international trade standards and regulations as set by the WTO.
* Step Five:
Once Poverty's Demise.org selects the winning bids from corporate partners, we all begin building a better world for our children.
